A new community hub in downtown Madras, The Spot features a taphouse with a second-story covered balcony, diverse food carts, a heated outdoor seating area with fire pits, and plans for an adjacent event center.

The building and site amenities are designed for seamless indoor/outdoor activities and year-round enjoyment regardless of weather conditions. Warm wood and clean modern details create a lively space for people to interact with each other while enjoying food, drink, music, and various types of entertainment activities.

The John Brown Event Center, named after the first African-American to move to and homestead in Central and Eastern Oregon, is a 3,150 Sq Ft tented area being raised alongside the two-story taphouse. Bookings are underway to attract celebrities, artists, actors, and comedians to the region’s new event center.

I want to create a place that is the place to be in Madras. I want to have fun activities going all the time to bring people here, have people stop, and build up activities here.
