Shift Apartments

O’Brien’s team provided general contracting services for the Shift Apartments is a five-story, 73-unit apartment building in the heart of Portland, Oregon, developed by Ethos Development. This multifamily development offers a diverse mix of micro, studio, one-, two-, and three bedroom units designed to support a variety of household needs in a dense urban environment.

Residents enjoy amenities such as a rooftop patio with grilling stations and planters, a community kitchen and common room, a gym/workout space, and secure bike storage.

Construction included advanced acoustic and energy-efficiency measures, implemented through a collaboration with a specialized sound consultant. These details included staggered stud framing and woven insulation to reduce sound transmission and increase thermal performance.
