Salt & Straw NW 23rd
O’Brien worked with Salt & Straw on a series of restaurant remodeling projects in Portland, including the 2019 renovation of their shop on the iconic NW 23rd Avenue strip. Housed in the Esquire building, the community connections are literally historic with a variety of theaters, coffee shops, and ice cream parlors – or at least they called the backdoor entrance an “ice parlor” during prohibition.
If you ever stop believing in magic, eat some ice cream. Much more than a scoop of ice cream, Salt & Straw developed a unique approach using ice cream to provide people with a moment of happiness and connection to their surrounding community.
This comprehensive Portland restaurant remodel and renovation was carefully designed and constructed for Salt & Straw’s special storefront where on any given day, they are scooping at least 36 ever-changing flavors.
