The current heat wave reminds all of us how critically important our first responders are here in the Pacific Northwest – so we are giving A BIG SHOUT-OUT to all of our first responders in the communities in which O’Brien’s team lives and works!
Why are first responders so essential to all of us?

First responders play a critical role in these events, often risking their lives to save others. Their rapid response and effective actions help mitigate damage, save lives, and provide crucial support during emergencies. For example, during the 2020 wildfire season, first responders worked tirelessly to combat fires and evacuate residents.

Some of our favorite construction projects are the ones that are easily overlooked because they provide seismic reinforcement and other nearly invisible but important improvements to public safety facilities across the region. Our work in local fire stations, police stations, and other public works are helping to strengthen the physical infrastructure required for our first responders to do their important jobs safely and efficiently.
