Happy Fall Y’all!
Fall has returned, along with colorful leaves, a chill in the air, and changing road conditions. The leaves may be falling, but our commitment to safety stands tall.
Safe Driving Tips for Fall
Please be vigilant of changing road conditions this season.
- Wet roads and fallen leaves can create slipping hazards. Pay attention to road conditions and adjust speed and follow distance accordingly.
- Rain and fog reduce visibility. During foggy conditions, use your low-beam lights (not high beams) for better visibility. We’ll see more fog across the Northwest, but especially near the Coast. Find more fog safety tips here.
- Frost and icy conditions are back, especially at higher elevations. Exercise caution around curves, and look out for black ice in shaded areas.
- Please check conditions along your route before you leave, and give yourself extra time to reach your destination.
Wherever you’re going, we want you to get there safe. Consider giving yourself some extra time to reach your destination if you anticipate extra hazards on your route. Let’s all do our part to keep ourselves, our families, and our communities safe this Fall.
Thank you, and drive safely everyone.
Now, with all that said, let’s give some recognition to our safest driver of September!
